- Verify that all the electrical components are OFF such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
- Clean corrosion from the negative battery cable using a metal brush.
- Install the battery negative cable to the battery.
- Install the clamping bolt to the negative cable.
Tighten: Tighten the battery negative cable to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
- Reset the radio stations and the clock.
