Removal Procedure
2007 Pontiac Torrent AWDSECTION Removal Procedure
- Using a scan tool, retrieve the percentage of remaining engine oil and the remaining automatic transmission fluid life. Record the remaining engine oil and the remaining automatic transmission fluid life.
- Slide the engine control module (ECM) retainer rearward, disengaging the retainer from the battery shield.
- Remove the ECM retainer from the top of the battery shield.
- Remove the ECM from the retainer.
- Place the ECM on the battery shield.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (2) from the ECM.
