Removal Procedure
2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GTSECTION Removal Procedure
NOTE:
Care should be taken to avoid chipping or scratching the coating when handling the suspension coil spring. Damage to the coating can cause premature failure.
- Remove the strut-to-body mount nuts.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft link from the strut. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link ReplacementΒ .
- Scribe the strut to the knuckle.
- Remove the strut to knuckle bolts.
- Remove the strut from the vehicle.
