Bumper Extension Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure




1. Apply tape to the corners of the adjacent surfaces.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the push-in retainers from the center of the rear bumper extension lower.
4. Remove the bolts from around the inside edge rear bumper extension lower.
Do Not remove the rear bumper fascia to replace the rear bumper extension lower.
5. Remove the rear bumper extension lower.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear bumper extension lower to the fascia.
2. Install the bolts around the lower inside edge of the rear bumper extension lower.
3. Install the push-in retainers to the center of the rear bumper extension lower.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the bolts to the rear bumper extension lower.

Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

5. Remove the protective tape.
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
