2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the ECM into the bracket on the front of the battery box.
  2. Push down on the ECM until the retaining tab snaps into place.
  3. Fig 2: Identifying ECM Harness Connectors

  4. Connect the ECM harness connectors.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  7. Reset the clock and preset radio stations.
  8. If a NEW ECM was installed, the ECM must be programmed. Refer to Control Module References .
