Installation Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the intake manifold gasket, if necessary.
  2. Install the intake manifold.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts and nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the knock sensor harness.
  6. Install the knock sensor connector clip to the oil level indicator tube.

  8. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the fuel injector inline electrical connector (2).
  9. Install the fuel injector inline connector clip to the intake manifold.
  10. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  12. Install the brake booster hose to the intake manifold.
  13. Position the brake booster vacuum hose clamp at the intake manifold.

  15. Install the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve tube. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  16. Install the fuel rail. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  17. Install the throttle body. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
