If the engine front cover was damaged perform the following steps, otherwise proceed to step 4 .

Position and install a NEW engine front cover gasket to the dowel pins.
Install the engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement .

Position and install the engine front cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the engine front cover to water pump bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the engine front cover bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Install the drive belt tensioner.
Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
