- Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve electrical connector.
- Remove the EGR pipe bolt and carefully pull the pipe assembly back.
- Remove the EGR valve bolts.
- Remove EGR valve.
- Remove the EGR valve gasket.
- Clean and inspect the EGR valve gasket mating surfaces.
