IMPORTANT: When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector.
  • The information center telltale assembly indicator
  • The object alarm module
  • The rear information center telltale assembly indicator wiring harness connector
  • The object alarm module wiring harness connector
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the information center telltale assembly.
  2. Ignition ON, scan tool installed, place the transmission in REVERSE. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the information center supply voltage circuit and each information center indicator control circuit while performing the scan tool special functions LED test.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate for one or more indicator control circuits, test the indicator control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit(s) test normal, replace the information center telltale assembly.
  3. If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
