Installation Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Place the ICM onto the bracket.

  3. Install the ignition coils to the ICM.
  4. Install the ignition coil bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

  6. Install the ICM bracket onto the studs.
  7. Install the ICM bracket nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  9. Install the ICM wiring harness ground (2) onto the stud.
  10. Install the ICM wiring harness ground nut (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  12. Connect the rear spark plug wires (1) to the ignition coils.
  13. Connect the front spark plug wires (2) to the ignition coils.

  15. Install the ICM wiring harness electrical connector.
  16. Tighten the bolt (2) securing the ICM wiring harness electrical connector.
  17. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  19. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
