Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
1 Power Steering Reservoir Outlet Hose Clamp
Procedure:Β 
Remove as much power steering fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
2 Power Steering Reservoir Outlet Hose
3 Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Fitting
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:Β  27 N.m (20 lb ft)

4 Power Steering Pump Bolts (Qty: 3)

Tighten:Β  22 N.m (16 lb ft)

5 Power Steering Pump

Procedure

  1. Remove the power steering pump from the top of the vehicle.
  2. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System BleedingΒ
