Rear Compartment lid Release Switch
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear compartment lid release switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the ground terminal and the signal terminal with the switch in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance, replace the switch.
- Test for less than 1 ohm resistance between the ground terminal and the signal terminal with the switch in the closed position.
- If greater than 1 ohm, replace the rear compartment lid release switch.
Trunk Release Relay
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the trunk release relay.
- Test for 60-180 ohms resistance between terminals 85 and 86.
- If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the trunk release relay.
- Test for infinite resistance between the following terminals:
- 30 and 86
- 30 and 87
- 30 and 85
- 85 and 87
- Install a 20-amp fused jumper between relay terminal 85 and 12 volts. Install a jumper between relay terminal 86 and ground. Test for less than 2.0 ohms resistance between terminals 30 and 87.
- If greater than 2.0 ohms, replace the trunk release relay.
Rear Compartment Lid Release Actuator and Folding Top Cover Actuator
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the actuator.
- Install a 10-amp fused jumper between the voltage supply circuit and 12 volts. Install a jumper between the ground terminal and ground. Verify the actuator activates.
- If the actuator does not activate, replace the rear compartment lid release actuator.
