  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
  2. Remove the automatic transaxle control assembly. Refer to Shift Control Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.
  3. Using an electrical terminal pick, remove the shift lock control solenoid electrical terminals (black wires) from the connector body.

  5. Move the control assembly out of the PARK (P) position and remove the park lock switch by pressing the switch retaining tabs.
  6. Remove the park lock switch connector body from the control assembly, and remove the switch assembly.
