2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the engine harness electrical connectors (4) to the ECM.
  2. Install the ECM (2) to the air cleaner cover.
  3. Install the air cleaner assembly cover.
  4. Install the air cleaner cover (1) to the air cleaner assembly (3) and tighten the cover screws.

    Tighten: Β  Tighten the screws to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

  5. Install left sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to BRACE REPLACEMENT - SHEET METAL DIAGONAL
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
  7. If a new ECM is being installed, program the EEPROM. Refer to Control Module References .
