Installation Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install new O-rings to the injectors.
  2. Install the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly to the manifold.

  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 9.8 N.m (87 lb. in.).

  5. Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
  6. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  7. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
    1. With the engine OFF, turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    2. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    3. Turn the ignition OFF for at least 10 seconds.
    4. With the engine OFF, turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    5. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    6. Turn the ignition OFF.
