  2. 4:  This step checks to see if the DTC will reset as current.

Use the scan tool to display DTCs for the body control module (BCM).
Does the scan tool display DTC C0277 or C0278?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information Go to Step 3

  1. Confirm that the brake pedal position (BPP) is adjusted to the correct position and perform the BPP calibration procedure. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration in Lighting Systems.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.
Does DTC C0161 reset?
Go to Diagnostic Aids Go to Step 4 
  1. Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTCs.
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text.
