Disassembly Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the strut assembly. Refer to Strut Assembly Removal and InstallationΒ .
  2. Fig 1: Spring Tension And Upper Strut Mount

  3. Place the strut assembly into the J 45400Β  strut spring compressor.
  4. Adjust the compressing arms to contact the coils farthest away from the center of the spring.
  5. Using the J 45400Β  strut spring compressor, compress the spring to remove the spring tension from the upper strut mount.
