  1. Ignition ON, verify that DTCs U1826, or U1827 are not set.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw/lateral acceleration sensor connector.
  3. Ignition OFF wait 1 minute, test for less than 10 ohms between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the ignition circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If less than the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor.
