  1. Verify the battery tray is clean.
  2. Install the battery.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the battery hold down/fan control module bracket.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the battery hold down bracket to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  5. NOTE: Battery life is reduced if a battery insulation cover is not used.
  6. Install the battery insulating cover.
  7. Install the fan control module by sliding it down onto the bracket.
  8. Connect the positive battery cable.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  9. Connect the negative battery cable.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
