    IMPORTANT: When routing new cable, ensure enough cable is left near the battery to make connections at the end of this procedure.
  1. Route the new negative battery cable along the harness and secure using plastic tie straps.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable to the vehicle ground locations, left upper frame rail and transaxle case.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the negative battery cable to chassis to 12.5 N.m (9.5 lb ft).

  4. Install the battery. Refer to Battery ReplacementΒ .
