NOTE:
Use this procedure only if replacing the TDM using new vehicle keys.
The TDM must be replaced prior to beginning this procedure.

- Connect a scan tool to the vehicle.
- With a new, unlearned, vehicle key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- With a scan tool, select Theft Deterrent Module in the Vehicle Control Systems Module Setup data list.
- Select Step 1.
- Select Use New Keys.
- Navigate to key data on scan tool to show how many keys are learned - should be zero at this point
- Remove key from ignition, re-insert key, turn key to run (observe on scan tool that keys learned is 1); Make sure to have all keys available during the learn procedure.
- Repeat step 7 for all other keys (must be completed within 10 seconds after turning ignition off for each key)/now existing keys will be learned (observed on scan tool the number of keys learned increments for each key). If addition keys are not learned (10 second timer between cycling ignition "off/on" expired), then use add key procedure.
- Perform 10 minute learn for the ECM to learn the new fuel continue password.
