Installation Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the negative cable between the battery and the engine block.

  3. Install the negative cable ground (2) to the stud/nut (1).
  4. Install the engine harness ground lead (3).
  5. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Install the retaining nut for the ground wire (4) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  7. Install the retaining clip for the battery cable.
  8. Install the ground wire.
  9. Install the retaining nut for the ground wire.
  10. Connect the negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LE5, LE9, LZ4, LZE, or LY7)Β .
  11. Install the battery box cover.
  12. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
