Preliminary Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4, LY7, and LE5) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) .
  2. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement .
1 Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder
IMPORTANT: If you are installing a new ignition switch lock cylinder, refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding .

Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch lock cylinder to the run position.
  2. Using a flat bladed tool push the ignition switch lock cylinder lock tab to release it.
