IMPORTANT: Clean any existing corrosion from the battery terminal and the battery cable end.

  1. Install the negative battery cable (2) to the battery.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Tighten the negative battery cable nut (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the generator battery control module cover. Refer to Generator Control Module Cover Replacement .
  5. Close the hood.
  6. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition to the ON position.
  7. Program all of the customer's radio station presets and set the radio clock to the current time.
