Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
1 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Bolt (Qty: 4)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:Β  1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

2 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil
Procedure:Β 
Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.

Tips

  • Do not remove the centering tab from a new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil until it has been installed or re-centering will be required.
  • If re-centering of the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil is needed then refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil CenteringΒ .
