- Make sure the EGR valve mating surface is clean.
- Install the EGR valve with a new gasket and new attachment bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the EGR valve bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Connect the EGR valve harness connector. Push the connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
