Installation Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Apply RTV sealant, or equivalent, to the sensor threads.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the ECT sensor.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the engine coolant temperature sensor to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  5. Connect the ECT sensor harness connector. Push the connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
  6. Refill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
