- Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Remove the trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
- Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .
- Remove the theft deterrent module (TDM) wiring harness from the steering column harness.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Pull the TDM (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).
