Removal Procedure

2006 Pontiac G6 GTP, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION Removal Procedure
CAUTION: In order to reduce the risk of fire and personal injury that may result from a fuel leak, always replace the fuel sender gasket when reinstalling the fuel sender assembly.
  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank ReplacementΒ .
  2. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor and sender electrical connections.

  4. Disconnect the EVAP vapor line quick connect fittings (1, 2). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar)Β .
  5. Disengage the fuel feed line from the retaining features built into the fuel tank.
