Installation Procedure

  1. Install the BCM.
  2. Install the BCM wire harness connectors.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the BCM screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the right console trim panel. Refer to Console Trim Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  7. For a new or remanufactured BCM, program the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
  8. Program the BCM after replacement. Refer to Control Module References .
