2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector.
  2. Install the ignition switch (1) to the ignition lock cylinder case.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the screws (2) to the ignition switch (1).

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the screws to 1.25 N.m (11 lb in).

  5. Install the theft deterrent exciter module to the lock cylinder housing. Refer to Theft Deterrent Exciter Module Replacement in Theft Deterrent.
  6. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
  7. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers ReplacementΒ .
  8. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
