Removal Procedure

2004 Pontiac GTO StandardSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Open and raise the hood.
  2. Remove the upper radiator shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  3. Disengage the primary hood latch (1) from the radiator support panel (2).
  4. Disengage the hood latch release cable (5) from the primary hood latch (1).
  5. Rotate the primary hood latch (1) in the vertical position, and remove from radiator support lower primary hood latch hole (6) and radiator support upper primary hood latch hole (7).
