INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position before you remove the instrument panel cluster.
1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate bezel.

2. Remove the screws from the I/P cluster.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the I/P cluster.
4. Remove the I/P cluster.
5. If not equipped with ABS (JL9) brakes, perform the following additional steps:
5.1. Disconnect the battery and touch the cables together.
5.2. Remove all fuses marked ABS.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connectors to the I/P cluster.
2. Install the I/P cluster.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the screws to the I/P cluster.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Install the I/P cluster trim plate bezel.
5. If not equipped with ABS (JL9) brakes, perform the following additional steps:
5.1. Reconnect the battery cables.
5.2. Turn the ignition ON and allow the IPC to go through the relearn process.
5.3. Turn the ignition OFF and open the drivers door to cancel the retained accessory power.
5.4. Reinstall the ABS fuses, turn the ignition to RUN.
6. Calibrate the electronic compass.
7. Verify the repair.
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate bezel.
2. Remove the screws from the I/P cluster.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the I/P cluster.
4. Remove the I/P cluster.
5. If not equipped with ABS (JL9) brakes, perform the following additional steps:
5.1. Disconnect the battery and touch the cables together.
5.2. Remove all fuses marked ABS.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connectors to the I/P cluster.
2. Install the I/P cluster.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the screws to the I/P cluster.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Install the I/P cluster trim plate bezel.
5. If not equipped with ABS (JL9) brakes, perform the following additional steps:
5.1. Reconnect the battery cables.
5.2. Turn the ignition ON and allow the IPC to go through the relearn process.
