  1. Perform ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK. See the BASIC TESTING - 3.1L article. After performing OBD system check, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, select DTC INFO and note if this DTC has failed this ignition cycle. If DTC failed, diagnose EBTCM system using the BRAKES SYSTEM - ANTI-LOCK article. If DTC did fail this ignition, go to next step.
