Circuit Description
If the BCM has been replaced, the password must be relearned using special equipment. If PCM is replaced, the replacement PCM should relearn the password within a few seconds after ignition is turned on. Engine will start and continue to run with DTC P1630 set. Conditions for setting DTC:
- PASS-Key(R) III system has allowed fuel delivery.
- PCM is theft deterrent password learn mode.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- β’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
