NOTE: New module can only be programmed once.
  1. With new theft deterrent module installed and connected, insert customer's key into ignition key lock cylinder and turn ignition switch to RUN position. Start engine to verify system operation. If engine starts, go to next step. If engine does not start, see appropriate no start test under TESTINGΒ .
  2. Observe PASSKEY/SECURITY indicator light. Indicator light should illuminate for about 5 seconds and go out. If indicator light flashes once per second and engine starts, module did not program. Check wiring, contacts to key resistance pellet, and key for defects or intermittents. Repair or replace as necessary and repeat programing procedure.
