Inner Tie Rod End: Disassembly

- Remove steering gear and boot. See STEERING GEARΒ and BOOTΒ removal and installation in this article. Remove shock damper ring from inner tie rod.
- Place wrench on flat area of rack assembly and wrench on flat of inner tie rod housing. See Fig 1. Rotate inner tie rod housing counterclockwise and separate inner tie rod from the rack.
