One Headlight Door Inoperative
1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula, 5.0 F, Standard, M39SECTION One Headlight Door Inoperative
- Disconnect HDM 4-pin connector. If headlight doors are stuck in open position, manually close headlight doors.
- To test right headlight door, connect a 15-amp fused jumper between battery positive source and terminal "B" of HDM 4-pin connector (harness side). Ground terminal "A". See Figure .
- If headlight door operates, go to next step. If headlight door does not operate, check wiring harness to headlight door. If harness is okay, replace headlight door motor.
- To test left headlight door, connect a 15-amp fused jumper between battery positive source and terminal "C" of HDM 4-pin connector (harness side). Ground terminal "D".
- If the headlight door operates, refer to, under TESTING, BOTH HEADLIGHT DOORS INOPERATIVEΒ . If headlight door does not operate, check wiring harness to headlight door. If harness is okay, replace headlight door motor.
