If power or ground supply to anti-lock brake controller is lost, the anti-lock brake system will be disabled and the Amber ANTI-LOCK warning light will come on.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Determines if voltage is being applied to anti-lock brake controller at terminal 1C16.
  2. Indicates whether fault is due to open condition or possible short to ground in circuit No. 640.
  3. Determines if voltage is being applied to anti-lock brake controller at terminal 1D15.
  4. If resistance is infinite, one or both of the anti-lock brake controller ground circuits are open.
  5. If resistance is infinite, one or both of the anti-lock brake controller ground circuits are open.
  6. If resistance is infinite, an open condition exists in data line circuit No. 461, preventing controller from communicating with scanner.
  7. A short to ground has prevented communication between anti-lock brake controller and ECM. If connector has good contact and short cannot be found, replace anti-lock brake controller.
