Orifice Tube

1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula, 5.0 F, Automatic, 4L60/MD8SECTION Orifice Tube

The orifice tube is located in evaporator inlet or in condenser outlet. It controls the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. The orifice tube replaces the previously used expansion valve. The tube has no moving parts and is not adjustable. If plugged or defective, it must be replaced as a unit.
