1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect DIS module assembly electrical connectors, Figs. 9 through 11.
3. Disconnect spark plug wires from module assembly, noting proper location to facilitate installation.
4. Remove DIS module assembly to engine block attaching bolts, then separate DIS module assembly from engine.
5. On models with 4-151/2.5L engines, inspect crankshaft sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage and replace as necessary. Apply engine oil to new O-ring prior to installation.
6. Assemble DIS module assembly to engine.
7. Insert attaching bolts, then torque to 20 ft. lbs. on 4 cylinder models and 19 ft. lbs. on V6 models.
8. Connect spark plug wires to their respectful coils.
9. Connect DIS module assembly electrical connectors, then the battery ground cable.
