Speedometer Drive Gear Replacement

- If equipped with a nylon gear, depress gear clip and slide drive gear and clip off output shaft. To install, place gear clip with tanged end in correct hole in shaft. Align slot of gear with slip and install gear. See Fig 1 .
- Using Gear Puller (J-8433 and J-21427-01), remove steel gear (if equipped). To install, position front end of shaft on a block of wood to prevent damaging shaft during installation.
- Position gear (large chamfered inside diameter first) over rear end of output shaft. Using driver, drive gear onto shaft until distance from rear end of shaft to rear face of gear is 6 5/32" (156.37 mm).
