Adjuster Plug Assembly: Disassembly

- Remove thrust bearing retainer and discard. Remove thrust bearing dust seal. Ensure that needle bearing bore is not damaged during removal process. Remove adjuster plug.
- Remove and discard "O" ring. Remove bearing retainer See Fig 1 . Remove small upper bearing race and thrust bearing spacer. Remove large upper bearing race and thrust bearing.
- To remove needle bearing, use a correct size arbor to press bearing from adjuster plug.
