The ECM receives and processes inputs from vehicle speed sensor, coolant temperature sensor, throttle position sensor, 3rd or 4th gear switch, and brake switch to determine application of torque converter clutch. The ECM controls application of torque converter clutch by grounding TCC solenoid circuit.
