Each sensor furnishes an electrical signal to ECM, modifying injector pulse to conform to engine operating conditions. These sensors are as follows:

Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS)

The CTS is located in the thermostat housing. This sensor is a variable resistant (thermistor) type which transmits an electrical signal (proportionate to engine temperature) to the ECM.
