Turbo Hydra-MATIC 125C (Transaxle) FIERO: Removal: Notes

1984 Pontiac 6000 STESECTION Notes
  1. Remove air cleaner, negative battery cable, ground cable shift cable and TV cable at transaxle. Remove electrical connectors. Remove upper transaxle-to-engine bolts. Install engine support fixture.
    NOTE: Remove neutral start switch connector in a straight horizontal movement. DO NOT rock or tip connector when removing. Contacts may bend, preventing proper operation when reconnected.
  2. Raise vehicle. Remove rear wheels. Remove both axle shafts. Remove catalytic converter heat shield. Remove exhaust pipe at manifold. Remove cradle nuts-to-engine and transaxle. Support cradle. Remove remaining cradle nuts and lower cradle out of way.
  3. Remove cooler lines. Remove starter shield and starter. Remove flywheel-to-torque converter nuts. Position transmission jack under transaxle. Remove lower transaxle-to-engine bolts. Lower transaxle from vehicle.
