Intermediate Shaft Assembly: Reassembly

Place a new slinger on stub shaft and carefully drive it on until it bottoms. DO NOTΒ  damage slinger at installation. Press bearing assembly into position. There should be a minimum clearance of .031" (.78 mm) between slinger and bearing assembly. To install "U" joint, reverse disassembly procedure. Tighten all bolts/nuts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  table.
