  1. Coolant temperature sensor is located on intake manifold. Remove coolant temperature sensor. Place sensing portion of coolant temperature sensor in water.
  2. Gradually heat water and read resistance values across terminals. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCEΒ  table. If coolant temperature sensor resistance is not within specification, replace sensor.
