NOTE: Any change in switch positions will abort calibration. Control panel EEPROM memory will store calibration values. Default values will be used if a problem is detected.
  1. Mode and temperature door calibration compensates for mechanical differences in actuators, A/C heating unit and linkages. Mode door selector, temperature selector, rear defogger switch LED and blower switch are used to set calibration.
  2. To enter calibration, turn engine on and set parking brake. Turn blower switch on, temperature selector to full cold position and mode door selector to defrost position. A/C and rear defogger switches can be in ON or OFF position. Depress and hold rear defogger switch. After 3-5 seconds, rear defogger LED will flash indicating calibration is taking place. Release button when LED begins to flash. If LED goes out after approximately 30 seconds, calibration is complete and system is okay. LED will stay on steady if calibration is unsuccessful.
  3. To exit calibration and return to normal operation, change position of any one of the following: temperature selector, A/C switch, rear defogger switch or turn blower switch off. See FUNCTIONAL TESTΒ  under TROUBLE SHOOTING for diagnostic procedures.
