Input Shaft: Reassembly
1994 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo, FWD, StandardSECTION Reassembly
- Install 3rd gear with needle bearing and 3rd-4th synchronizer assembly on input shaft. Press bearing sleeve on input shaft from threaded end.
- Install needle bearing and 4th gear on input shaft. Press ball bearing on input shaft after installing spacer. Spacers with identification mark "1" are installed with identification mark toward 4th gear side. Spacers without identification marks may be installed in either direction.
- After NEW ball bearing is pressed in place, install NEW snap ring. Press bearing sleeve on input shaft. Install front ball bearing and NEW snap ring. Install thickest snap ring that fits into snap ring groove. Snap rings are available in 3 sizes.
